What is a live photo wall?
A live photo wall is a real-time display — usually on a large screen, projector, or LED panel at the venue — that shows guest photos as they are uploaded. Every time a guest scans the QR code and submits a photo, it appears on the display within seconds, visible to everyone in the room.
This is different from a slideshow of pre-selected photos. A live wall is dynamic: candid shots from a table of friends appear beside the stage photos, selfies appear alongside formal group shots, and the display reflects what is actually happening in the room right now.
Why live photo walls work in Malaysian and Singaporean venues
Events in Malaysia and Singapore — annual dinners, gala nights, weddings, product launches — often have large screens already set up for presentations and video content. Repurposing that screen for a live photo wall requires only a browser pointed at the photowall URL; no additional hardware, no HDMI switcher configuration beyond what the AV team already manages.

Requirements for a live photo wall are minimal:

- Stable internet connection (4G hotspot works if venue WiFi is unreliable)
- The photowall URL from the event host
- Full-screen mode (F11 on most browsers)
The display URL is separate from the guest upload URL. Guests scan the upload QR; the AV team loads the photowall display URL on the venue screen. The two are linked automatically — no sync step required.
Moderation
For corporate and semi-public events, a moderation queue is essential: photos are held for host approval before appearing on the display. For private weddings with a trusted guest list, auto-display is usually fine. Configure this in your event settings before the event begins.
